Research Methods Training

Do you want to start doing research and don't know where to start? Are you a Postgraduate student and don't know where to start? Are you lost in Research process? Let us help you by enrolling our Research Methods Training including QUANTITATIVE METHODS AND QUALITATIVE METHODS.

Few facts about Research Methods:

First of all you should know standards of doing research but remember never restrict yourself to the standards and always keep your mind open. Where to find research standards? Learn research methodology, buy a book about research methods in your field but the best way is to start studying in a graduate school, in a  University, and register for this course but research methodology is different for various fields.

Before starting a research work, you should know why you are doing research? Is there a problem to solve? What will happen if you don't do this research? Who/What will benefit from this research? What will happen without your research? If you are sure research is necessary for the problem (and you are sure the problem exists by providing enough references and documents), then start asking important questions about the problem and factors effect on it or those factors the problem have effect on. You are not sure what  those factors are? Search and find out about previous researches about the same problem, and from different researches done, find your factors. Read articles and books about those factors and about the problem exists. Take note carefully and be sure you keep all the important and related information together with the date f each one and the name(s) of researchers who reported those information. Sometimes it is required to perform a separate research to understand the problem in depth, and to find factors effecting or effected by problem.  Ask more questions about the problem. write your questions. These questions will lead you to the objectives of your research. The objectives of your research can be (may be) the answers to your research questions.

Find your goals/ objectives that can provide a solution to the problem. Consider them as your objectives. After objectives, it is important to say why your research is important. This importance is called Significance of research. Normally, significant of research addresses the problem statement and the fact that if we don't perform this research what may happen.

Research can have objectives or hypothesis. They are basically the same. To know more about hypothesis click here.

*** Remember, in research as much as you go forward, things can change, because you have a better vision, and after every step going forward, check all you have done again and again and make sure they are right. ***

Now it's time to discuss about literature review. Literature review is all researches, information reported or recorded and can be referred to it as a fact in the same field, and it is important that whatever has been found, related to the topic of research, or related to the problem statement, we acknowledge the original author or text. To know more about referencing rules, please see APA format, one of the famous  referencing methods.
